The brief was to design a new religious study centre with student accommodation for Chirst's College in the centre of Cambridge. The brief was challenging due to the highly historical nature of the site within a dense urban fabric. This meant it was critical that the building responds to its surroundings in a subtle and respectful way. Having such a strong site boundary was something that became a key element to the final design.
